5 Reasons 99% of "Girl Gamers" are Annoying as Hell

1. They seemingly can't learn how to take a joke
If you are any type of gamer you know girls get insane attention when they play simply because they are female. As a girl, if you are aware of this and still get pissy when some guy tells you to get back in the kitchen, you should not be playing online games. You probably SHOULD get back in the kitchen because that oven is not going to pre-heat itself. Instead of getting angry, have a comeback or at the very least just ignore them. After all, you're playing the game cus you want to, not for the attention RIGHT?! Right.

2. Their gamer tags are just asking for trouble
I hate joining a MW2 pregame lobby and seeing a name pop up like "angelprincess6969". 1) because they are usually level 12 and are without fail placed on my team and 2) I hate hearing "oh my goddd i like, totally almost killed that guy! what's a claymore?!". I will admit that I am guilty of sometimes being that stupid, clueless girl but NO LONGER. I am aware of how annoying it sounds to other people. For reference, if you have any of the following words in your gamer tag in any combination, you should just stop now:
princess, angel, baby, cutie, gurl, sexy, queen, 696969696969696969696969 etc...

3. They still get pissed when their boyfriend/husband plays games

If you are going to call yourself a Gamer Girl, you are no longer allowed to tell your boyfriend/husband that he can't play Call of Duty until 4 in the morning. Either he's allowed or you go back to being the girl that will sit on the arm of the couch for 2 minutes to play a round of Cooking Mama for the Wii and consider that enough gaming for the day. I am aware of at least one situation where a girl was heavily into gaming and still didn't allow her boyfriend to play. Make up your damn mind!

4. LAN parties are more of a whoring opportunity than anything else

How annoying is it that regardless of whether or not you want to be distracted by girls, you are. Especially when you are somewhere where utmost focus is required. I know it's awesome that as a girl, you feel comfortable enough to go to a LAN and ACTUALLY play. And if you go to play and you don't prance around like a 2 year old in a tutu, then it's all good. Some people pay money to go there and show off their skills and win prizes and all that good stuff. Either play the game or stick to e-whoring.

5. Girls rarely talk about the actual game they're playing
Every girl is guilty of this because we are natural born chatters. We like to fill silence with idle chatter whether it be pertinent or not. The only problem is, that distracts from people trying to focus. They do not want to hear about your new shoes. They want you to let them know where you got shot from so they don't meet the same end. I'm guilty of this. I am aware of it. And if you think talking about random stuff in the pre game lobby is acceptable it is not. That is when you should be shit talking absolutely everyone because you're the best and you're going to win (even if you know you're terrible)

Finally! Final Proofs for "Cowboy Creations"

Hey ya'll! So I finally got all the info I needed to finish this site off and so I shall post the screenshots of the final proof. I decided against making buttons because they just weren't working and it was pissing me off. I instead decided to keep it simple with text links. Yay!

Other Products Page

I'm not sure that i'm completely in love with it but she can tell me whether or not she likes it and we can go from there! It's simple and it works. Nothing fancy but then again, i'm pretty sure i'm doing this for free.

Thoughts are appreciated!

5 Reasons Playing MW2 Makes You a Better Driver

We all know Modern Warfare 2 is an incredibly awesome and fun game, but did you know it's also beneficial? Now, you may or may not have noticed that after you play an FPS for a while, your focus is all zoned in and you find it easier to focus on things later. I've noticed this and I've also noticed that if I play Modern Warfare 2 or even CounterStrike for extended periods of time and then drive, I drive better. Even in winter. Let me explain...

1. Focus, focus, focus

As I mentioned earlier, if I sit in front of my TV and play MW2 for an hour or two (or six...whatever...), I get into the "zone". Every gamer has experienced the zone. You keep getting kill after kill without dying, you run faster, reload at just the right time and melee your opponent into the ground with the precision and skill of a pro! This is amplified if you don't take any bathroom/food/drink breaks and just play straight through and especially if you're playing with friends or randoms that talk shit. If you, after this intense period of focusing, take a drive, your focus has not yet been fully broken and it transfers to your driving. You see every sign, hit your brakes at just the right moment and speed up when the coast is clear. Fabulous in it's logic, is it not?

2. Increased reaction time to just about everything

There's nothing worse than trying to sneak up behind an opponent and instead of pwning him with your knife, he turns around and knifes you because you were too damn slow. To counteract this, you learn to either shoot the mofo in the back of the head execution style or sneak up and knife him before he knifes you. You turn around faster when you hear footsteps behind you. You switch weapons right before you run out of ammo to avoid being embarassingly slaughtered. So it is with driving. A deer jumps out in front of your car? Fuck that! You already saw it coming so you swerve away from that bitch. Car in front of you slams on their brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of them? You got this. You slam on your brakes and get the hell out of there. Who wants to pay for higher insurance when there are map packs to buy!

3. Ignoring environmental nuisances and seeing past them

In Modern Warfare 2 there are several environmental details that are put there to distract you & make you double-take something you think you see off in the distance. This includes things such as falling snow, leaves and other such things blowing across the screen that have absolutely nothing to do with the game. They just make it look more real. And they are VERY distracting. If you play the game and you get used to these factors, you start to look through them. You look past the snow and see only the solid objects (ie. people) in the distance. When I drove in the snow this year, I found I was looking THROUGH the snow instead of AT it. Yes I was still annoyed that it was there but it was much less distracting. This means that I'm paying attention so I can get out of the way when the idiot in front of me starts sliding around because he was staring at the snow instead of paying attention.

4. Asians/Women/Old People become better at driving

Since young Asian boys play MW2 the most, they will increase their driving skills early because of the previously mentioned items. Anything that will help Asian drivers not suck at driving is okay with me. Although nothing will help women become GOOD drivers, playing MW2 at least ensures that me, and everyone on the road with me, survives until the end of the day. And although there are very few, if any, old people that play, the ones that do will reap the same benefits as everyone else. And since the Asians, girls and old people are better at driving, YOU, the GOOD driver, will have to compensate less for their shittyness.

5. Being the best at MW2 means you don't have to jack up your truck anymore!

Once you feel you are amazing at Modern Warfare 2 and you pwn enough noobs, you will no longer feel like you have to compensate for your small...er...you know...by jacking up your truck. Everyone knows that guys with trucks taller than their houses are full of testosterone induced RAGE and drive like assholes just because their clearly visible under carriage isn't eye catching enough. Instead of being an attention whore on the road, be one on Xbox Live. At least that way people can mute you.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 Review & First Thoughts

So I have Photoshop CS5 for the Mac now. I have Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and After Effects as well but I haven't installed them yet because I was just too excited to try the content aware fill.

Now in the demo videos, this fill looked completely fool proof and so so so easy. Either I'm doing it wrong or those videos are faked because the content aware fill, although very very useful in some instances, was not so useful in other "test runs"

To begin with, I edited a picture I took a earlier this year just to test the content aware fill. I decided it would be easiest to take the pond out of a photo. The results were...

The before...

And the after...

So as you can see, that worked fairly well. The pond disappeared without any insane side effects to the rest of the picture.

Next I tried to erase an object off of another object, in this case a mailbox off of a house. I thought this would be simple for the Content Aware Fill since it was a small area. Well...
(Please pardon the deformed images...having issues with the photo uploader)
Before:

The area I selected with the quick mask tool:

And the after:

Another feature that I was looking forward to was the supposedly incredible and enhanced stamp tools and healing brush tools. They were supposed to pick up fewer contrasting colors to keep the darks/shadows from bleeding onto the light colors and vice versa. I tested it. It's reduced but its still pretty noticable. But thanks Adobe, the less dark that gets picked up when I don't want it, the better.

I didn't have much time to play around so that's all I have for now. I may or may not write another blog tomorrow when I've tried Illustrator/Dreamweaver. We'll see.

Till next time!

Ohhh Thursday...

What a craptastic day.

I ended up staying up all night playing MW2. Literally all night. Like 9 straight hours of MW2. I stopped at around 5 which is when my dads alarm went off and got out of bed & got dressed up for my Great Uncle's funeral. He's my dad's aunt's husband so we aren't related by blood and I never met him but my dad wanted to go so I went with him so he would have a driving companion.

My close family on my dad's side (this includes me, my sister, my mom & dad, two aunts, two uncles, 5 cousins and my grandmother) absolutely hates the other side of my family for some reason. Not my mom's side, but my grandpa's siblings & their children. One of my grandpa's sisters (I don't know what that makes her in relation to me...Great neice? No idea) brought two different outfits to change into for the ceremony and the burial/reception. She's one of those people that soaks up attention regardless of whether or not it is deserved. She just strikes me as so...not...genuine. Or respectful. No wonder we never met them until my grandpa died.

Anyway. I managed to get about an hour of sleep on the way home after I played a little of my most recent DS game (Harvest Moon). And for some reason I am now completely awake and feel totally refreshed even though i've only had one hour of sleep in almost 48 hours now. I'm strange.

Plans for the evening include more MW2, chillin, maybe a bath with bubbles and all that jazz.

Till next time!

Dear May: Please be warmer. Kthnx

So it's already Cinco de Mayo. This time last year I was in Mexico laying on a beach or something equally relaxing. This year, i'm still in Calgary and it's snowing. Ew. What the hell.

I haven't really been up to anything or busy at all, just haven't had motivation to post a blog. I haven't even had motivation to play video games which is really sad. I souped up my resume and made it pretty. In Quark because I still haven't heard from the SAIT computer store about the Adobe CS4 Design Premium Suite for Mac coming back into stock yet. I tried to call but they close at 4 (20 minutes ago...of course)

It's nothing too special but at least its more eye-catching that the usual boring black and white lines of text.

I have all my final marks back now:

Big improvement from last semester. I went up from 3.06 to 4.0. That feels absolutely amazing haha.

In other news, tomorrow is Thursday and i'm going to Lethbridge to attend a funeral for my great Uncle. :( I don't do well at funerals. I hope I have waterproof mascara still.

And never one to end on a sad note, I found a dress for Shawn's sister's wedding that I love but its $130 so hopefully I can get a paycheck soon and pick that baby up before some girl steals it as a prom dress.

Anyway, that's all. Until next time!

ALMOST FREE!

Oh hai there.
By this time tomorrow I will be done school for the semester and it will be time for summer break!!!! Oh my god am I ever excited!!! I mean i'm totally gonna miss seeing all my friends and all my (nice) teachers but 4 months of working and partying is gonna be awesome!!

My last final is PrePress which is supposedly going to be a simple business card imposition, most likely with bleed, and shouldn't take longer than 45 minutes. Then it's off to the bar to celebrate with a couple (and I really do mean a couple...I have to drive!) drinks! Yay!

Recently I have become addicted to the show "Operation Repo". It's just hilarious and I love it because it's in LA and LA is freakin' awesome. I found a YouTube channel's playlist that has tons of clips from the episodes. Check it out here!

As soon as summer starts and I have a lot more spare time i'm going to remodel this blog because it feels too plain for me. Hopefully by the end of this week/next week i'll be in possession of the Adobe CS4 Design Premium Suite so I will be able to upgrade to CS5 which, I believe, is now available for purchase!

Dear Dad: I Love You

This one's going to be super personal so if that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading now.

My Dad is quite literally the most amazing person I know. My parents have been married for almost 25 years. For the last 10 or so years, my mom has had chronic back pain and requires multiple very expensive treatments. She hasn't been able to work as she can barely stand or sit for extended periods of time. Not once has my dad complained about spending his own money to pay for her treatments. Not once have I heard him say something negative about having to help clean and make trips to get groceries because my mom can't.

He wakes up at 5:30 every morning to go to work and gets home 12 hours later, just in time to have dinner, do anything my mom has on a list of things she needs, watch a little "Two and a Half Men" and fall asleep on the couch by 9:30. After all this hard work, he doesn't go out to Best Buy and purchase tons of fancy toys or buy cars or vacations, he puts it away or pays off the mortgage and bills.

My Dad has paid for my tuition and school expenses — not to mention every other expense including food, gas, entertainment...literally everything for the last year.

Me being the rebellious teenager that I was, I moved out before I was ready and Dad pretty much supplemented my rent for the next 9 months. Why should he? I moved out because I didn't want to listen to my parents anymore. He loves me so much he just wanted to make sure I was happy even if I wasn't under his roof anymore.

He works so hard for his family and never asks for anything but gratitude in return. And the kicker?

I've owed $2000 on my credit card since December...or so I thought.
My dad has been taking my credit card statements and phone bills for the last 4 months and paying them off without me knowing.

I currently only owe Mastercard $690. You are amazing.

Dad I love you so much. Any man I marry better be at least half as amazing as you or they have no chance.

I don't feel so baaaad

I've been stressing a lot lately about school and the marks i'm going to get because i just feel so insanely disorganized this semester. The semester started off so slack and then all this stuff got thrown on us at once and now it's like, two-three weeks to finals and it feels like we didn't do anything but we did soooo much at the same time.

All I have right now is the final web design project, 4 pages linked together with a navigational bar and a tabbed window dealio that I forget the name of because i'm so tired haha.

I've been really missing Mexico lately. I want to go back to living in 34ยบ weather, wearing shorts and a bikini top everywhere and partying till 4 in the morning every night. That was the best vacation of my life and I don't think anything else will ever compare to that. As much as I complained about how long it was and how much I missed my family, i'm sure that if I was offered the same opportunity again I would have to take it.

I really want to go to Vegas for my 21st birthday. Everyone that's actually been there has said it's amazing and they love it there. I don't want to gamble. That is the last thing I want to waste money on. I just want to go and see the strip and everything else Vegas has to offer. Yes i'm aware it's dangerous and people do stupid shit in Vegas but like I said, the last thing on my mind is throwing all my money away on a stupid table or slots. I'm so impatient, I can't sit at a slot machine and feed money into it until I win. I give up after like 5 spins.

Anyway, I think it's time for bed. The last thing I need is to be tired for tomorrow because i'm up blogging all night. Adios!

Happy Pumpkin Pie Day

Did you all know that December 25th is ACTUALLY Pumpkin Pie day? What the hell was Christmas thinking when it took all the attention away from delicious pie?! What the hell man?

Gabe and I finished our Pokemon mash-up poster! A really low quality preview:

Yes, I'm really lame today but I'm super tired and I think it's time to go to bed early & just sleep in for once.

If anything exciting happens in the next couple hours I might write another more awesome blog. Not likely....

Frustrated

Yeah it's been a while again. I'm just really terrible at finding the motivation to write lately. However, YouTube is taking forever to load the videos I want to watch so as I wait for them to buffer, I will write.

Shawn was here for the weekend. It was fabulous. I spent way too much of his money and I feel slightly guilty but also awesome at the same time haha.

I feel sort of depressed lately. Like, overwhelmed, nervous, scared, sad...i'm in no way anywhere near suicidal or anything crazy like that. I just feel like I need an overhaul on my life and that i'm stuck or something right now. I think having a job or working would help that because I wouldn't feel so dependant on my parents and I want to have a job but I don't ever feel motivated enough to go out and do something about it. And when I did and I put out resumes, I never got any responses. Well I did but the one place that called me back, my mom didn't want me to work at. So I guess i'm not allowed to be choosy about where I work...unless it involves being "sexy" in the job description. Nice work Mom!

I was hoping to live in Residence at school next semester instead of having to commute every freakin day but there are many many things that worry me about that as well. I have a feeling that with my tendencies to forget about school work and party instead, I would never get any work done. I would probably show up for more classes on time. But then, what if I end up hating my room mate and we fight all the time or we're bitchy to each other or something. What if she's up all night and I can't sleep or, more likely, I can't sleep and i'm up all night and it pisses her off? I guess I shouldn't be worrying about that kind of stuff before it even happens but whatever! It's who I am.

I'm really excited to go back to school tomorrow and just get the rest of this semester finished and over with so I can make some money and relax a bit.

I think that's all I have to say for now.

Do They Make Brain Vacuums?

Because if they do, I certainly need one.

I feel like I have so much stuff to do and i'm forgetting about all of it and I can only think of one thing.
I finished my website today which was something that I was freaking out about finishing before the weekend. It's much more simple than desired but it's a pass and that's all that's important.

The only thing I can think of that I have to do is my newspaper spread. I started it but the formatting that's on the files we received is all different and for some reason my style sheets aren't doing anything and i'm getting very frustrated. I hate Quark. I never used to hate it. When we started with it I didn't mind it. But it's just not Adobe and the fact that even the most recent edition of it can't handle .docx files is just ridiculous. Sorry Quark. You fail.

If I can manage to get that assignment over with, i'll have a test in Quark to look forward to on Monday. Yeah. A test in Quark. It better not be written like the last one was.

I think once I finally do my business card imposition i'll feel better but I keep forgetting and I don't have InDesign at home.
*sigh*

Song of the Day: "Join Me" by HIM. Yeah it's kinda sad but it's nice and mellow.

The "New Press Party"

Tonight was pretty neat.

After school, I picked up the time cards I needed for my taxes from my old office job (oh how I miss thee $1000 pay checks!) and then Gabe and I went to the car wash and washed my car finally! We had about 3 hours to kill before the "Press Party" started. So I went back to Okotoks, dropped my flash drive off at the work-place of the lady i'm doing that website for, then went back into Calgary.

OH the press party....

When Gabe, Sarah and I arrived, they were doing the presentation of the new press, ie: talking about it, running it, showing it off to all the industry people that were there. Gabe and I were the only first years in the place so it was kind of cool to be surrounded by so many people who knew so much and were as interested in the press as we were.

Jim, Brenda, Jeanne, Tyler, Danny and Luda were there as well as Willem and a bunch of grads & other surely important people. It was pretty much just a ton of fun and after the presentation was over, everyone was just kind of wandering around talking.

A guy with a video camera came up to me and Gabe and pretty much just decided he was going to do an on the spot interview, like a legit one, and told us we would be on YouTube/Facebook. Uhhh....Okay! So basically we just talked about how the press is awesome and it's so much easier than the one color and it's revolutionary and what not. I'm pretty sure I sound like a dumb blond the whole way through but whatever! I was nervous okay?!

We kinda just hung out with Brenda, Jeanne and Jim after that since they were taking it a little easy after the stress of the presentation and the hand-shaking and such. Brenda bought me and Gabe a beer each and we ate snacks and chatted and laughed and it was a grand old time.

In return for the beer, i'm bringing donuts in tomorrow. Not sure how i'm going to manage that with no money but i'll figure something out haha.

Song of the Day: "Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin. It's classic, I love it.

So tired...

No matter how much I sleep I'm still exhausted. Just lately. Like what the fuck is wrong with me? I just need a summer break I think to make me feel better. Not drinking and not staying up all night might help too...

So tomorrow night i'm going to the Press Party at school which is so so so so lame but also so cool at the same time hahaha. It's to celebrate the new press (it was $800,000.00 ... yikes). From what I hear it's in the press room and it's cash bar (ie. theres alcohol but you have to pay full price for it)....What I don't understand is how a bunch of rowdy teachers & students are going to handle having drinks with open tops around an almost million dollar press. It can only end one way and that way is not a good way.

It should be fun though. It's the kind of thing where you can get to know your teachers on a different level in a different atmosphere and see them more as friends and peers than as teachers. I think it would be fun and hilarious to see Jim & Jeanne drunk in the same room.

Other than that, I rented Battlefield Bad Company 2. Not to be confused with Battlefield 2 (apparantly). The graphics are amazing and i'm sure i'll get used to the controls. The only thing I don't like is that the size of the maps and the rate of play, although more realistic, is really slow. I've become accustomed to the fast, cut throat rate of Modern Warfare 2 where if you stop moving, you stop breathing. In BC2, you can take things at pretty much your own pace (I mean...within reason of course) and just enjoy the (beautiful) scenery.

I also downloaded the demos for Bayonetta, Splinter Cell (the new one) and Just Cause 2. I haven't gotten around to playing the Just Cause 2 demo yet but from the other two:

I love Bayonetta but I found I play it a lot like I play Super Smash Brothers...BUTTON MASHING. Which to a point is fun but that kind of game loses it's appeal to me very quickly. I'll probably buy it when it goes on sale since it's still so expensive. As for Splinter Cell, I had that game on my phone like two years ago and I loved it but again, it's not my style of game. I'm really not a Single Player person. I like communicating with people when I play. With the few exceptions of Silent Hill, Assassins Creed, Dead Space and a few others...

Anyway, this is getting REALLY long so i'll just end it here.

Song of the Day: "The Last Firstborn" by Celldweller. This is absolutely my new favorite song. Absolutely.

Cowboy Creations Update

I haven't heard anything back from the lady who asked me to do this for her yet but I decided I was going to play around with it a little bit since I was bored anyway. So I changed the colors a bit & added some stock/sample pictures to make the page a little more interesting.

That's the updated screencap. I'm going to go to her work tomorrow & see if I can find out when the next time she works is since she's been busy in the last couple weeks. I'll just bring the flash drive to her :)

Anyway, this is just an update for that. Not much else to report except that I finished my Heidelberg Speedmaster ad (pardon the compression, it's a Facebook upload)

I also finished my interview. I mean I'd already done the interview I just needed to type it up but it's typed up now and that leaves me with just a few more things to do:

1. Newspaper Spread Layout
2. 4 Page Website
3. Water Bottle Design

I think that's it. God I don't remember anymore. I'm sick of homework!

Song of the Day: "Might Like You Better" by Vaski. It's been playing in my head ALL day.

Too much wanting...

It feels like there are so many things I want right now that I can't have. And I know it's like 100% selfish to be wanting these silly things when there are people all over the world that have nothing. But just to indulge my own selfishness, i'm going to compile a list of my wants partly so I can get them out of my head, partly so that if anyone rich and famous happens to stumble upon this and feel generous, I might actually get some of these hehe!

So I guess the easiest way to do this is to categorize them:

1. Travel
-Los Angeles
-Las Vegas
-New York City
-Cancun
-Belgium
-Morocco

2. Games
-Battlefield Bad Company 2
-Heavy Rain
-Bayonetta
-Left 4 Dead 2
-Portal 2
-Fallout 3
-Assassins Creed 2

3. Swag
-Playstation 3
-LCD TV
-iPhone 3GS
-iPod Touch
-Xbox Keyboard
-Xbox Wireless Headset

That's about all I can list specifically. In addition to that, I want a $5000 Visa giftcard so I can go on a ridiculous shopping spree and buy tons of clothes and shoes lol. And also like a shit ton of new makeup just cus that's always fun to buy. And I would dye my hair the way I want it to be.

My midterm went decently well today. I was pretty sure I was going to get 100% until the last page came along and ruined my day. I really need to work on homework tonight too but I just can't get motivated. This seriously sucks. At least i'm done everything that I needed to do for tomorrow. So it's not like I need to finish anything tonight but it's seriously impossible to get focused on Wednesdays because I wake up so early.

Anyway, I suppose I should try to get started. Blahhh

Ugh whatever...

I'm exhausted. It took me all night to focus enough to study. At least I finished my presentation. Too bad it's going to be a boring piece of crap haha. A presentation about paper. Joyyyy.

I'm dying for the summer break but I know it's still pretty far away. I watched the Lil Wayne "Behind the Music" special thing tonight and learned quite a bit I didn't know about him. Not that any of it was useful or important but I like his attitude anyway.

My favorite quote from the whole special is "I don't care if it's heroin in my cup. It's my cup. Fuck you"

I couldn't have put it better myself.

This is probably going to be super short because I don't know what to write but I also felt like I wanted to update.

I have a midterm in my Print Materials class tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it's going to kick my ass but we'll see.

Okay I really dont have anything else to say so i'm gonna try and go to bed early so i'm awake for the test tomorrow :D

Messssyyyyyy

Last night was fun! For the most part!

I went to Neila's new apartment, conveniently located 5 minutes away from SAIT (jealous!), and stayed the night. We were celebrating her move by having a couple friends over & partying at the Trap & Gill. The Trap is an Atlantic (newfie) themed pub attached to the Days Inn. It's fun if you like getting shit faced and not being able to talk to your friends after an hour.

I mean, I didn't get that drunk but Neila sure did!

Before we even left the house we were pre-drinking & playing drinking games. We even played Sociables Jenga style by writing the "cards" on each of the Jenga blocks and whatever you pulled was what you had to do/drink. We were all pretty much stumbling and mumbling before we even left the house. Then Neila got to the bar, ordered two double vodka sodas, short glasses (one was for me but I couldn't drink it lol), and ended up taking a total of 5 shots in a row, 4 tequila, 1 fruity girl shot.

Annnnnnd then she decided she was going to go home without telling any of us hahahha. So we spent a good 10 minutes wandering the bar & checking the bathrooms to see if we could find her and when she finally replied to my text "where r u?" (i iz gud drunk speelerr), she said "930 nlllll" which was supposed to be her address hahahaha.

Yeah. Good night. Early night, but good night.

Today I'm supposed to go see Shutter Island. I don't really want to go all the way back into Calgary today (i'm just a little bit hungover) but I suppose I am obligated lol.

I still haven't finished my presentation so i'm gonna go work on that now before I get lazy again. It's almost done I just need to put in a few more pictures to make it more visually appealing (since that's what papers all about ;))

Where's Yo Head At?!!!!??!?

It still feels like a lot of stuff is going on lately. I won't even bother organizing it by the day, just as it comes to me...

I took a trip to Coast Paper in the N.E. to get a paper sample book for my presentation on Mohawk's Brite Hue cover for my PRNT 218 — Print Materials class. I'm now currently in love with sample books. I want to have a whole drawer full of them! lol. I know, i'm crazy. But they're so pretty & well put together!

I really hope we get to print our business cards in Press class soon. I want to have them nowwww! haha. Too bad all of my classes business cards got lost. Ugh. Sooo lame.

I really really really really really really REALLY want Battlefield 2. If I had $80 to blow I would buy it right now. All i've been hearing are good things. And no, I will not be purchasing the new Final Fantasy game as I have not played any of the ones before that one and I would have no idea what's going on haha. I know, gamer fail. And I still need to play Heavy Rain. For realz.

I taught Alyssa how to use HTML & a little bit of CSS the other night. Hooray! So happy i'm a good teacher :D haha. Hopefully I did well on the Web Design test we had the other day that I forgot about. If I didn't, I will be tres upset aha.

Not much else exciting has gone on lately. Shawn gets here SO SOON. Like three weeks. I need to clean my room and stuff before he gets here hahaha. I'm such a messy person in my own room. Fail fail fail.

Just a Quick Hello

This will be a nice recap of the last couple days since, again, i'm proving why I fail at blogging.

So today I slept in as long as I possibly could because I really needed to catch up on sleep. I've been exhausted all week and hopefully this will make Monday a little easier. After having a shower, I kinda did my hair (not much), took the dog for a walk and went to the bank to get the money I owe my dad. This afternoon I finished the "report" part of my paper project and all I have left to do is put together the presentation. Tonight is still a mess, I have no idea what's going on but whatever happens, happens.

Yesterday I was supposed to go to class but decided I was too tired and wanted to sleep in but I ended up being woken up by calls and text messages from Shawn and my sister and yells from the top of the stairs from my mom. After that awakening, I took the dog for a walk and played a ton of MW2 and watched Justin.tv & some YouTube videos.

Thursday was business as usual at school and after school, I went home, put gas in my car, and drove back into the city to pick up Sarah. We drove around pretty much all night (stopping at Market Mall, Morgans and Wendys) and basically talked for like 5 hours about absolutely everything which made me feel SOOOO much better. It was like spilling out everything that's going on in your life and it takes so much off your shoulders. Kinda like blogging. Too bad you can't trust the internet like you can trust people. That would make ranting so much easier.

Wednesday I barely made it to class on time then went home and promptly fell asleep after a quick game of MW2 with Shea (yay for early returns from Xbox). I napped until around 6:30 then woke up & I don't even remember what I did with the rest of the night. Nothing useful i'm sure.

That's just about as far back as I can remember but all in all a very busy week. Or so it feels like. I hate those weeks where it feels like you never have a moment to catch your breath when you really aren't busy at all. Very frustrating and stressful for no reason.

I still need a job. Like really bad.

OH! And Shawn comes to Calgary for Easter! Can't wait :)

Song of the Day is "I Know You Want Me" by Pitbull because it was so nice out today it felt like summer and that's an excellent summer song!
